About Us

Gahanna Lacrosse Inc. is a non-profit entity (Registered 501(c)(3))and operates to enrich the lives of Gahanna residents. Gahanna Lincoln High School is located in Gahanna, Ohio. We have offered lacrosse at the youth and middle school levels since 2004, and at the high school level since 2005. We expanded our offerings to girls high school in 2010, and anticipate adding girls middle school, youth, and combined pee-wee teams in 2011.

The high school boys and girls teams operate within the confines of the Gahanna Lincoln High School athletics complex located behind Lincoln High School. They practice and play games on both the grass fields and artificial surface at that site.

The Gahanna boys high school lacrosse team achieved varsity status just prior to the 2009 season. They earned varsity letters and awards in 2008 for the first time, played home games in 2008 in the former soccer cage at Gahanna Middle School South. They played our games in both 2006 and 2007 behind Blacklick Elementary School, and in 2005 they competed at both McCorkle Park and the St. Mathews fields behind the Gahanna Pool.

We wear school colors and proudly honor the logo and mascot of the Golden Lion. We received no school funds whatsoever in 2008, minimal funds (high school boys only) in 2009, and anticipate our operations to continue to be primarily self-funded in the forseeable future. We are a registered non-profit, 501c3 organization and are funded 80 percent by fees and 20 percent by fundraising activities.

We follow all rules, regulations and requirements set forth by the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) including academic eligibility and personal code of conduct and are a member of the Ohio Capital Conference League (the only conference in Ohio to sanction lacrosse).

Our Board of Directors consists of members who make decisions about the future of the club, coordinate fund raising, and set fees in coordination with the schools athletic director and administration.
